The Covington Lady Buccs are entering the 2025-26 season with 13 players with three seniors and six of them players on the roster being returning lettermen.

The three seniors are Avery Koffer, Delaney Murphy and Hollan Koffer, with the six returning lettermen consisting of two seniors Avery Koffer and Delaney Murphy, juniors Emalyn Johnson, Stevi Newhouse and Bella Batdorf, along with sophomore Mackenzie Grear.

Avery Koffer, Delaney Murphy and Emalyn Johnson were starters on the team a year ago that finished with an impressive 21-3 overall record and a 14-0 record in the TRC. Avery Koffer was a First Team selection in the league. Two key players on last year’s team graduated, Maggie Anderson and Gabrielle Hartwig.

Additional talent is added to the team as Hollan Koffer joins the program in her senior year. She is athletic and the tallest player on the team at 5’9”.

Plus, six more players join the program – sophomore Layla Witt and five freshmen, Mosley Welborn, Emma Havenar, Quincy Koffer, Karlee Schwartz and Kayleigh Deeter.

The 13 players on the roster are the most on the Lady Buccs roster since the 2022-23 season.

Covington’s new head coach for the Lady Buccs is Chad Mason. The assistant coaches are Ashley Naff, Angie Beckstedt and Lauren Christian.
